This Privacy Policy applies to the Papers We Love mobile application (the "App") distributed via the Google Play Store.

1. Zero Personal Data Collection

The Papers We Love application is designed as an offline-first academic reading and interview preparation tool. We do NOT collect, store, sell, or transmit any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) including names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or device identifiers.

2. Network Operations & Data Transfer

The application requests standard network access (android.permission.INTERNET) solely for:

  • Syncing public research paper listings directly from the open-source GitHub repository (papers-we-love/papers-we-love).
  • Downloading or streaming original academic PDF publications directly from open-access academic repositories.

3. Local Storage & Device Preferences

All user preferences (theme toggle, mastered paper checklists, interview self-assessment ratings) are stored strictly locally on your device via standard browser LocalStorage and never leave your hardware.

4. Third-Party Services & Children's Privacy

The App contains no third-party tracking SDKs, no advertisement networks, and no telemetry services. The App is suitable for all audiences aged 13 and older and adheres to Google Play's Families policy.
